Promotion of the monograph Andras Urban – On the Paths of freedom

Last night, the promotion of a monograph dedicated to one of the most important directors in Serbia and the region, Andraš Urban, was held.

The Princely Serbian Theatre is the publisher of the monograph, as part of the edition  “Joakim’s Descendants”,  dedicated to the winners of the “Joakim Vujić” Statuette, an award given by the Princely Serbian Theatre, for  outstanding contribution to the development of theater art in Serbia. Andraš Urban was the recipient of this award in 2014.

Thanks to Ana Tasić, the editor of this edition, who has been following Urban’s work for years, the monograph covers the oeuvre of Andraš’s plays from the very beginning to the plays created in the last few years. In addition to Ana Tasić’s theater criticism, which follows the director’s work chronologically, the book also contains texts by Vedrana Božinović, Igor Burić and Atila Antal, whose texts provide a theoretical discourse on Urban’s work.
