Biography

was born in Zenica in 1974. He completed primary and secondary school in his hometown. Afterwards, he enrolled in the Drama Studio at the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica in the class of Žarko Mijatović. After attending it for two years, he was accepted as a permanent drama member at the Zenica Theatre in 1994. But that was not his first encounter with the “boards that mean life,” because in 1984 he entered the theatre as a member of the Children’s Scene of the Zenica Theatre.

He graduated from the Faculty of Humanities in Mostar, department: dramatic art – acting. He completed postgraduate studies in the field of Theatrology, and obtained the title of Master of Humanities in the Field of Art – Theatrology in 2010 at the University of Tuzla at the Academy of Performing Arts.

He is currently a student in the sixth semester of the postgraduate doctoral studies in Theory of Literature, Performing Arts, Culture and Film at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. In January 2020, he completed the post-graduate specialist studies in drama pedagogy at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb and defended his thesis, entitled: Intercultural Learning with Drama Methods and Techniques, and obtained the title: University Specialist in Drama Pedagogy.

He has authored two significant monographs, dealing with theatrology and dramatic models of the Children’s, Youth and Puppet Scene of BNT and Kakanj Arts and Culture Centre: Enchanting the World – 60 Years of the DOL Scene and 15 Years of Drama Studio Kakanj.

 He spent 15 years as the General Manager of the Children’s, Youth and Puppet Scene, and within that production segment, he also performed the duties of executive producer and producer on all the projects realized during that period (about 50 projects).

 

At the beginning of 2020, he was appointed to the position of General Manager of the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica and thus became the main producer of this theatre company with 68 employees.
